RETURN POLICY – United States (domestic orders)

Paper or canvas rolled maps only: If you receive your order and decide that you would like to return it for any reason you may do so.  You may choose to return and exchange the item(s) as well.  We do require that the order arrives back to us in good condition, (excluding shipping damages) within 15 days of receiving it from us.  You must pay the shipping cost required to return the order.  Once we receive the returned item(s) we will issue you a full refund (original order and our ship-to cost included) within 24-48 hours of our office receiving the returned item(s).  Refunds are issued to the original card that was used to make the original purchase.

All framed items: Due to the custom nature of the framed art we cannot accept returns. If an item does arrive damaged from the shipping process please notify us within 24 hours.

Items damaged during shipping: Although it rarely occurs, sometimes items are damaged during the shipping process.  If an item arrives to you damaged you must either decline the shipment to the shipping company or contact us within 24 hours of receiving the item.  You must take pictures of the damages and email us the pictures at support@vinmaps.com.  You must hold onto the item for the shipping company to assess.  Once the shipment has been properly assessed for damages and a claim is successfully issued to the shipper by us, and is then approved by the shipping company we will have your order shipped out again as soon as possible.

RETURN POLICY – International Orders (orders shipped outside of the United States)

All orders purchased for shipment to international destinations may not be returned.  This includes all paper or canvas, rolled or framed items.  All international orders are final.

CUSTOM MAPS

I would like to have VinMaps® create a custom map for me.  How do I get started?

We welcome your custom map project!  Simply send us an email at create@vinmaps.com explaining what you would like your map to include.   Once we have reviewed your email we will be in touch with any further questions we may have for you.  Once we have assessed the project we will give you a quote.  Cost is project based.  Simple logo or family name additions are $15.  More involved projects are assessed on an individual basis.

  • Customization can be used for business purposes or to make one of our beautiful maps into a personalized gift memento that a family member, friend, or colleague will cherish for years to come.
  • We can customize one of our existing maps with your logo, special note, or family name.
  • Customization can also mean creating a brand new map. Is there a special wine or spirits region you would like to focus on?  Would you like your map to be a specific size?  What would you like your map to include?  Are you trying to achieve a specific look or would you like to introduce your own color palette, fonts, etc.?  We will work with you to make your idea come to life.
CANVAS STRETCHED TO WOOD FRAME

Although most of our maps are not yet available on canvas pre-stretched to wood frame, we are beginning to address this with our most recent title: Italy – Wine of Ages map.  This title is available on giclee canvas, professionally stretched and wrapped to wood frame, ready to hang (please see gallery page for more information).  We will eventually offer all of our titles on canvas professionally stretched and wrapped to wood frame; please check back periodically for further updates.

CANVAS or PAPER – what is the difference?

Although we will eventually be offering all of our paper maps pre-framed and our canvas maps stretched to wood frame, ready to hang, currently we offer most titles printed to either our high quality satin matte paper or heirloom quality canvas.   The paper or canvas maps are rolled and placed in durable tubes with title label, and shipped directly to you, ready to frame and add to your wine room, cellar, den, office, or special nook.

Paper:  This is a 7mil thick, high resolution, commercial grade paper that frames beautifully and may be heat mounted by your framer, if necessary.  This is a much higher quality grade paper than the typical poster paper you will find and is most suitable for framing.

Canvas:  Our canvas option is a beautiful way to enhance your décor and brings a bit more luxury and texture to our maps.  If you want to give an extra special, luxe gift we recommend our maps printed to canvas.

Our canvas is a poly-cotton blend, suitable for stretching to wood frame or mounting within a frame, depending on your requirements.  Our canvas may be heat mounted by your framer, as necessary.

How often are your maps updated?

All of our maps are updated periodically.  Our goal is to update each map, as needed, once per year.  In some cases, we may make updates more often or less often depending on each country or region.  For our maps which include wineries, if you are not sure if a winery that you have special interest in is on one of our maps, please email (support@vinmaps.com) or call us and we will double check for you.  If a winery is not on the map in question, we will promptly add it prior to you placing an order with us.  It’s that simple!

Can you print your maps in a different size?

We can print down or up in size, in proportion to the original size of each map.  Our in house printer can print up to 42” wide and as long as you want onto our high quality paper or canvas.  For sizes larger than this we can outsource or build a custom map to suit, if necessary.

SHIPPING POLICY – United States (domestic orders)

Once your order is processed we do our best to ensure you receive it in a timely manner.  Unless otherwise arranged, we ship via FedEx Corporation to all domestic, United States destinations.  In most cases, your order is shipped within 24 to 72 hours of your order being processed (excludes weekends).  Once your order is shipped you will receive an email notification with order tracking information.  We ship FedEx Ground unless you purchase expedited shipping through our shopping cart or otherwise make arrangements with us.  If you need special assistance or have an urgent request please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help you.  *Framed items: please allow 2 to 3 weeks for framed items to arrive.

Once your order is processed we do our best to ensure you receive it in a timely manner.  Unless otherwise arranged, we ship via USPS, (United States Postal Service) to all international destinations (all destinations outside of the United States).  In most cases, your order is shipped within 24 to 72 hours of your order being processed (excludes weekends).  Once your order is shipped you will receive an email notification with order tracking information.  We ship USPS International Air Priority unless you make other arrangements with us.  If you need special assistance or have an urgent request please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help you.  *Framed items are not yet shipped to international destinations.

NEW VINMAPS PRODUCTS IN THE WORKS

Although we will continue to develop new wine map titles on both a countrywide and regional level, we are also expanding our product line to include spirits maps and beer maps.  We are also broadening the look of our maps to include a more vintage and antique look.  As well, be on the lookout for new products including etched map t-shirts, post cards, calendars, map art tiles, map books and more.
